You can make a difference! 

Just Strays’ shelter is as cozy and comfortable as a shelter could possibly be. To keep it clean, healthy, and comfortable for the cats takes time and effort. We need more volunteers to clean the shelter and feed the cats. Volunteers are needed to commit to a regular schedule either weekly or every other week. Each morning requires two people for 2 to 2 ½ hours. It can be fun to work with a friend or family member. In the late afternoon one person can do the job in 1 to 1 ½ hours.

Volunteers must:

• Love cats
• Be willing to scoop, scrub, sweep, mop, etc. (Our little friends can be very messy.)
• Be reliable
• Did we mention love cats?

The benefits are:

• The chance to spend quality time with some very charming and endlessly fascinating critters
• The satisfaction of knowing that you are helping those who can’t help themselves
• The joy of seeing a frightened, bashful cat blossom and then move on to a loving adoptive home
• Knowing that every hour that our president, Nikki, isn’t tied up taking care of the shelter, she can be available to rescue cats and kittens not already lucky enough to be in the shelter or better yet, in a good home.
